Rhodes State College is a public, state-assisted institution of higher learning which is dedicated to providing an accessible quality education for students of all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. The academic focus of the college’s curriculum is career preparation programs leading to associate degrees in applied science, applied business, and technical studies degree. In addition, the College contributes to the community by providing workforce development and training, continuing education, economic development services, community outreach, and cultural enrichment opportunities. The Ohio State University at Lima

 

The Ohio State University is comprised of six campuses. In addition to the Columbus campus and Agricultural Technical Institute at Wooster, there is Lima and three other regional campuses. There are more than 1100 undergraduate students and 100 graduate students at Lima, which offers 10 bachelor degree programs. Eight are four-year programs while two are baccalaureate completion programs. Students are able to start at Lima and finish their degree at the Columbus campus focusing on one of Ohio State’s 170-plus majors. Students at Lima enjoy a great life outside of the classroom - there are over 20 student clubs and organizations and 10 intramural and club athletic teams. According to U.S. News and World Report 2007, The Ohio State University is ranked as one of the top 20 public universities in the country and the number one public university in the state. University of Northwestern Ohio

 

University of Northwestern Ohio is a co-educational, private institution founded in 1920. It enrolls approximately 3100 students in the Colleges of Business, Technologies, and Distance Learning. The College of Technologies offers Associate Degrees and Diplomas in HVAC, Automotive, High-Performance Motorsports, Diesel-Medium/Heavy Truck, Agricultural Equipment and Alternative Fuels. Baccalaureate Degrees awarded by the College of Business are in Accounting, Business Administration, Health Care Administration and Specialized Studies while Associate Degrees and Diplomas are given in Accounting, Agribusiness, Business, Computer Technology, Health Technology, Office Technology, Paralegal, Travel & Tourism and Specialized Studies. Regarding Distance Learning, the Virtual College offers most of the degrees as the College of Business, but uses the Internet for delivery of curricula.
